Jess Elmquist has been named the first Chief Innovation Officer (CINO) for Regent Surgical Health – owner, operator, and strategic partner for physician-hospital ASC joint ventures nationwide. As CINO and EVP of Human Capital, Jess will leverage his experience in human resources and organizational effectiveness to cultivate a high-performance organization and build a culture that will support Regent’s ongoing growth.
Jess brings 20 years of experience to Regent. During his tenure with Life Time, a pioneer in the health, wellness, and fitness industry, he advanced in sales and marketing to senior leadership roles in human resources to become the Chief Learning Officer and EVP of Human Resources. He grew the nationwide team to 40,000 employees in 152 locations.
“Jess is a mentor, leader, and innovator in his field and knows what it takes to build a dynamic talent pool while staying true to a company’s culture and mission,” said Regent CEO Chris Bishop. “At this stage in our growth, Regent will benefit from Jess’s passion and vision for developing strategies to attract and retain talent, increase employee engagement, and define paths for our team to grow and flourish at Regent. Jess’s track record in his field is second only to the energy he brings to the role—we are proud to welcome him to our team.”
“Regent is in a phase of rapid growth and transformation, and we know the success of this growth centers around innovation, and recruiting, training, and empowering a team of passionate professionals,” said Elmquist. “This potent combination will support Regent during this time of change to be a best place to work, fueling a winning culture and delivering outstanding results in the future.”
Jess earned a graduate degree in organizational psychology and change leadership from Columbia University, New York. Prior to working with Life Time, he served in public education as a teacher, mentor, and coach.
Since 2001, Regent has developed, owned, and managed ASC facilities in partnership with hospitals and physicians and has grown to become the nation’s largest independent health system joint venture-focused ASC operator.
